Since 1996, Michel Ferrand focuses on mergers and acquisitions and contracts in the fields of finance distribution and real estate. He advises both large and small, domestic and foreign enterprises on all aspects of corporate and business law, and has acted for numerous industrial and service corporations as well as investment banks.

Prior to establishing his own offices in Paris, Michel worked in the Mergers and Acquisitions department at Paul Hastings, which he joined in 2003, where he increased his knowledge of industrial clients, Internet and more generally service oriented companies, banks and investment funds.

Before this, Michel spent four years with Clifford Chance in the Merger and Acquisitions department where he was also heavily involved in financing. Prior to joining Clifford Chance, he worked for Oppenheimer Wolff & Donnelly LLP in 1996, where he remained for four years, shortly after being admitted to the Paris bar in 1995.

Michel has lectured Law and Ethics and Corporate Governance courses to MBA students from Concordia University. He also intervenes at seminars with subject matters such as Drafting Representations and Warranties, and Managers’ Liability, and has trained lawyers at Paul Hastings Paris for the implementation of legal reviews. Additionally, Michel teaches at the Paris bar school and has also been published.

Michel graduated from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris in 1989, and also holds post-graduate degrees in: General Private Law (D.E.A), from Paris I University; Technology and Management (Master), from Ecole Centrale de Paris and International Trade (D.E.S.S.), from Paris II University.

He is fluent in French and English, and has a good command of Arabic.
